18761 Main Street
Groveland, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Unknown
Open: 1937, Close: 1970s

The Iron Door Saloon is still open and dates back to about 1937, when a second floor with a pool and card room were added. Before that another saloon was in that building, dating back to 1852.

The attribution of the plain mold chip is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2004). Not in Eastman (1998). This style of hot stamp plain mold chip was most often used in the first half the 20th century.
