The Sainte Claire Club was an exclusive club for businessmen, dating to 1888. Members were asked to leave their briefcase at the door, to emphasize the social aspect of the club. Gambling, including slot machines, was common. From San Jose Gaming (2020) Ted Ramos.
C. W. Rice shipped the L-mold chips (blue and green) to the Sainte Claire Club in 1956.
