T. R. King shipped 225 large crown "DDT" chips in three denominations to Dee Terzian at 1129 Van Ness, Fresno, CA in 1949. This is the address of "Dee's Timber Room", also called "Dee's Tavern", a restaurant, bar, and pool room. Owned by Ardeen (Dee) H Terzian. Advertisement detail from 5/1/1948 (The Fresno Bee).
The Gaming Table (2017), however, associates the Large Crown mold "DDT" chips (no denomination, unknown font) with "Dee's Place" a cardroom at 532 Clovis Avenue, Clovis, CA (circa 1954-1970). It was owned by Ralph Josephine in the 1950s and Blanche P. Crow in the 1960s. |
