"Y" and "Z" jetons were denominated "Patacones", Patacón was a series of emergency bonds issued between 2001 and 2002, by law 12,727, in the province of Buenos Aires, during the government of Carlos Ruckauf . They were created as a way to create a parallel currency, to alleviate the enormous financial and economic crisis that occurred in Argentina in 2001.
